Optimism cheers me On!

Do you consider yourself an optimistic person? Or, you think you are rather
realistic?
I tell you that's totally different, do you disagree? Read me :)

I picked a Virtues card today and this is what I got.

"Optimism is a positive, cheerful outlook. When we are optimistic, we are hopeful
even when others have lost faith.

We believe that good has the power to prevail over evil.
We do not allow ourselves to be victimized by setbacks or losses.
We embrace challenges with confidence and vitality. We are solvers,
 not complainers.

In the midst of dark times, we look to the future with a vision of
 what is possible.

We trust that everything works together for good.
Nothing can destroy our hope."

Then there was this beautiful sentence from Kahlil Gibran

" The optimist sees the rose and not its thorns, the pessimist states at the
thorns,oblivious of the rose."

And then comes the practice of Optimism

I have a positive viewpoint.
I have faith in all circumstances.
I trust in positive outcomes.
I focus on solutions rather than problems.
I see a brighter future.
My hope is resilient.

And at the very end the gratitude!

I am thankful for the gift of Optimism.
It cheers me on!"

Because we do have it, somewhere in us even if we have allowed our own thoughts
 and beliefs cover it.

I had to share this with you. This cards are really making me a more conscious
 person.

Contentment shows me that life is a gift!

"Love came up to me showing me that a contented mind is best for growth." The Yasna 43.

That was the  quote I read today at dawn and was wondering what contentment meant?

I read this quote when I picked my "virtues Card" see www. virtuesProject.com

It says: Contentment is an awareness of sufficiency, a sense that we have enough and we are enough. It is appreciating the simple gifts of life-friendship, books, a good laugh, a moment of beauty, a cool drink on a hot day.

Being contented, we are free from the pull of greed and longing. We trust that life provides what we need when we need it. Contentment allows us to experience satisfaction with what is.

We are fully present in this moment. Being contented does not obstruct our dreams or thwart our purpose. It is a place to stand and and view the future with a peaceful heart and gratitude for all that is and all that is to come."

And here are some affirmations to practice contentment:

I allow myself to be satisfied and grateful.
I trust that I am enough.
I enjoy where I am and what I have.
I resist the craving for more.
I am fully alive to the present moment.
I relax in the trust that life is good.

I just thought I share this with you! I think the virtues cards are making me a more conscious, more aware person, a better person <3

Every home needs love!

I am sitting in an apartment in which the kitchen has a certain role " to be"!

The stove doesn't have a flame but if I  touch her she blushes!

This place has two colors, black & white.

But now that I am looking deeper it does have 50 shades of grey and when I look yet deeper and deeper, the floor has many different shades of brown.

It won't be difficult to furnish this place.
It needs the aroma of the freshly baked bread,

The kitchen, must get to know the spices and the stove,
Should taste my food!
