This is really serious!!!!:)

Do you laugh in your everyday life? Do you make sure you laugh in your everyday life?
Do you lead a serious life!!! Do you find it crazy that there is a group of people who get together to laugh?

The first time I heard about this was years ago.

 I used to practice quite a serious lifestyle, working in cancer research, writing my dissertation, finishing up several publications, engaged in promoting Human Rights, reading everyday many many bad news in relation to discriminations, serving as a volunteer PR officer for an organization that really had nothing to sell but to promote peace and justice, learning all kinds of alternative ways of healing and medicine that were totally unacceptable by the other wonderful guys I was working with academically, attending to patients in my private practice and, of course, having a huge network of people with whom I loved to spend some quality time but, even if I did, we always ended up talking about one of the serious topics mentioned above!

I don't really remember laughing!

I do know I didn't make an effort to make sure I laugh everyday! But instead I always had a " to do" list and made sure it was done by the end of my late nights.

Now I want to tell you that in my free time in between two meetings, the places I visited were toy shops, art (painting galleries) and book shops of course. I do not have children you see and the few times I mentioned that to my friends that I often go to toy shops, they gave me a quick soundless hmmm and then next serious topic, I mean come on! A topic of how to loose weight over a delicious chocolate cake and coffee is way too serious for a woman's mind, it really is, specially when you want to relax and just enjoy the taste and maybe the view.

I was born after five siblings. Knowing my culture and my family, I can imagine they all played with me like a doll and made me laugh with making all kinds of faces and sounds. I was brought up with lots of laughter, I am a happy being in my essence and I wonder when did I begin to be so serious?

Looking back at my life, I think I still want to be engaged in my so called "serious" endeavors, but I do want to make sure I put laughter on the top and end of my "to do" list!

If I find nothing to laugh about I look into the mirror and make some faces to make the little girl in me laugh :) but before that I may try to watch a video of Omid Djalili <3

Have u been in-love? Shirin & Farhad

Have you been in love? Do you know what love really is, because no matter how much feelings I have in my chest I still don’t seem to really really get it.

 Is it when your heart is flying out of your chest for a little sign from your loved one? Is love the empty space you have in you when the other one is not around? Does it increase when you know you are loosing him/her? Or is real love when you give up, when you let go?

I heard recently that love is two sided, if it is one sided it is not love, it is something else, I want to say today that it is an illusion we tend to misunderstand it for what is real.

It is flattering sometimes to know someone loves you, someone cares for you but when you don’t, no matter how hard for the other party, it is a one way road. The same here, if I love, no matter how passionately, how much I would want to rather die but not see him ill, if it is one sided, it is a mere illusion. 

Welcome then The Little Prince/ss to the Earth! This is the love story on earth, there are only few who love each other in a mutual way and at the same time. And from those the most famouse are the ones who didn’t make it, Romeo & Juliette! 

And in my culture Khosrou & Shirin!(Khosrau=Farhad)

 Khosrau with the help of his counselor had  his own portrait painted  and had him put it on Shirin’s way, she liked what she saw and then saw it almost everyday and fell in love with him. 

They had no facebook, viber, whatsapp or skype to chat but they were very creative : )

 Khosrou was going through challenges and when after so many obstacles finally they met one night and he asked Shirin to make love to him and she, loving him soooo much, said you go fetch your throne, then you marry me and we will have a lot of time for that. He got furious and said I lost my throne for your love.

 ( you must read the whole story). 

He ran to Rome and got married to the daughter of the King of Rome, Mary! But was always thinking about Shirin, so was Shirin! What a story ha!

Hmmmmm!!! Are you with the man you love? Or are you married to Mary, thinking how would making love to Shirin had been?

Meeting Dalai Lama

Have you noticed or seen yourself when in the middle of a chaos? How do you act? Do you panic? Do you talk to yourself like I do ( sometimes out loud) I am embarrassed sharing it with you :) 

Or are you amongst those highly Dalai Lama spiritual type of people who seems to be calm under all conditions?Do you swallow your stress and by that I mean you seem calm but the stress is working deep down in your immune system creating some antibodies against your own body? ( we call it autoimmune disease)

 Or even meaner than that, is the stress going right into your DNA and where the cell normally divides in a harmonious environment, your DNA screams and runs around and says I want to go nuts?  By that I mean some cancer cells lingering!

 I am not Dalai Lama but I love this man and a part of me wants to be like him so I practice meditation, a little every day. The reason I haven't become like him is because I spend more time on getting dressed and putting make up than the time I spend on my meditation! I have to be honest with myself : )

Did I tell you I have met Dalai Lama? Years ago when I was volunteering in an international conference that Club of Budapest had organized. There I met all kinds of VIPs.  But I wanted to have a picture of Dalai Lama.

 I was waiting at the staircase where I knew he would arrive and when he stepped up I got my old camera and tried to take a picture. Believe it or not when he saw me he stopped and he greeted me! It felt like the music had stopped and he stood there and looked at me with the loveliest smile ever. His look was so loving yet so piercing I just put the camera down and greeted him back.  I couldn’t take the picture.  And I said it out loud " I can't do it" :) His smile was even wider and I was so touched by his humility.

Now I can spend the rest of my life standing in front of the mirror and put make up on my eyes and lips, I know I will always envy that make up-less smile of Dalai Lama!

My conclusion is if I exchange  the time of make up and dressing up to the meditation and service in my life, who knows what becomes of me, I may sleep less to catch up with the make up : ) LOL!!!!

#NASA#GlobalSelfie day #EarthDay

Today is Earth Day! Mother Earth, our home, the one country we have and have done our best so far to draw lines and divide it into smaller tighter places.

We think sometimes that in this way we owe the jungle or the oil or gas that is treasured into the earth. We even go further and think the islands, those small tiny stones in the huge blue oceans belong to some of us.

We make whole lot of money- if we are lucky and live on those treasure islands- and we study to find out how to refine oil, to dig the mines but one thing we mostly forget is that this money is for the education of every inhabitant on this earth. Who knows, some of us may know how to build bridges :)

 Oh ye mother Earth if you had a language to speak, what would you say? Would you love it that we have divided your beautiful face? We have tear you apart! Wouldn't you want to be whole, for all of us?
Wouldn't you want to be kept clean? Wouldn't you want to be call "Home" for all?

Why is it we think you are a woman Mother Earth? is it because you have the feminine qualities of nurturing? Is it because you are so beautiful? is it because you have so many treasures in your womb?

Happy Earth day Mother Earth!!! Thank you NASA for making it a GlobalSelfie day! As if I had not got enough selfies this year:)  NASA rocks!!!! no but seriously You Rock NASA!

Writing out of love about challenges in life!

When you close your eyes do you see darkness? What if I tell you, you can close your eyes and, see light? I know!!!! You would say it is impossible. I am the Muse, I can do that....! LOL!!! believe me You!

Today I read a beautiful quote by May Sarton which said:

"Help us to be always the hopeful gardeners of the spirit who know that without darkness nothing comes to birth as without light nothing flowers."

When we go through difficulties and darkness, we never know if there will be light at the end of it, but the whole philosophy of being "present" and staying in the moment is what this is about. It may mean to stay there and look at the darkness without any judgment. It sounds impossible but it seems that is the only way not to get frustrated.

The truth is there has never been a night that didn't end with a morning, why should the darkness we are in continue with darkness.

"What's the use?"

Have you been deeply hurt? Do you have deep secret or grief eating you away? Are you carrying hatred? Do you sometimes think ”What’s the use”?

The reason I am asking is that all these thoughts have negative effect on the body's immune system. 

You most probably know that there are emotional and physical reasons behind diseases. In the conventional medicine we know about stomachache being related to stress. This is true about other diseases too.

Stress can be physical or emotional. Radiation, for example, is one kind of physical stress for the body. By that I mean radiation from X-ray, Atomic Reactors, or even radiation from recurrent flights and airplane trips. 

Sadness and/or even the excitement from love are both amongst emotional stress to the body.

Luise L. Hay explains that the emotional reason for cancer could be one or all of the following: " Being deeply hurt, deep secret or grief eating you away, carrying hatred, ” What’s the use?” "

She suggests to turn this around you can fill your mind and heart with the affirmations:

” I lovingly forgive and release all of the past. I choose to fill my world with joy. I love and approve of myself.”

 If I love myself I take care of myself, right? I take care of my body! And if I am not doing so, then I do not really mean it when I say I love myself !

It happens that we want to believe we have moved on, forgot and forgiven certain things. If so, good for us, if not, it wouldn’t hurt to repeat the above mentioned positive affirmation to ourselves and see what effect it will have on us. If anything it will make us healthier, who knows a shift may happen in the body, mind and heart. An on-going process may change direction, if there is cancer it may go away, if it wants to happen, it will be prevented.

Ran Gavrieli &Porn!!!!!

There is this thing most of us women felt for a long time but finally someone and happily a guy Ran Gavrieli put words on it and presented it in TEDxJaffa! I am so grateful he did it and specially for the soft and logical way he presented it. It is about men watching porn.

Yes we feel very uncomfortable when we find out, and then we are comforted when we know most men do that, a kind of comfort similar to giving Aspirin to someone who has brain cancer!

I do not want to write more about this. Ran Gavrieli explains it. In my eyes he is one of the bravest man ever. Not only he stopped watching porn he dared to come and share it with everyone and as he humbly expresses it he wanted to make a small change in his own life.

We don't have to always wish to save the world because there is a whole universe folded into "Me"/ " You"!!!!

#100HappyDays Project !!!!!!!!!!

Have you heard about "100 happy days" project? You are suppose to post something you are grateful for on any social network. It could be a picture, a quote, anything.

The day I heard about this project I decided to post something on facebook for 100 days because apparently it is so effective you will become a better or a more grateful person. Not that I haven't been posting stuff like that, but I thought I join a collective project, because it is cool and I want to believe I am cool :) So when I post something that has made me happy, I write #100HappyDays :)

The odd thing is on the same day I began expressing my gratitude in this way, I received an e-mail from a person I dearly dearly love that he has cancer, a malignant type with metastasis and all!

 You may know that my specialty is in oncology and you may as well know I do not believe that people die of cancer or anything else. Cancer is a call with a high pitched ring! That's all. A clever shift in mind, life style and diet may change the whole situation and that is possible if the person is willing and doesn't suffice to the conventional science.

Life is a gift. When it is jeopardized we have to do "everything" to save it. Everything else should be secondary.
 Death is justice. It comes to everyone regardless of their color, wealth, position, degree, gender...etc.
I must admit I am having a hard time finding something I am grateful for today! Maybe I can be grateful for love!

 I am grateful for being able to love someone so strongly. It really is a blessing.
